It’s been 1 year, 6. Months and 15 days since my last post. That’s 80 weeks, or 563 days.
But with the craziness of the last couple years, I checked out. But I think its about time to get back at it.
Did you know I used to want to be a writer? In high school I spent all my free time writing in multiple journals, poems, short stories...even songs. I’m hoping that i can find that passion once again, here, on my tiny little blog, that no one will probably read.
But that wont stop me.
But did you also know I love decor, ALL things interior design and home decor. It’s my happy place. It’s what I spend hours doing.
Scrolling for inspiration, designing my home, creating budget friendly projects all to make my home, mine.
AND on top of that I love taking photos and making videos to show off all that hard work.
So here I am, once again, in the blogging world. I have no idea what I’m doing, I have no idea how to do this, and I have no idea if anyone wants to read about it. But what I’m best at is winging it. I’m not afraid to try new things, I’m not afraid to learn new skills, and I’m definitely not afraid to jump in head first.
Let’s do this thing!
So where do I restart?
In June of 2021 we sold our home of 17 years. We had just renovated it top to bottom. There wasn’t a stone unturned. But we wanted out of the city, to find the country home we always dreamed of. So after months of searching we found it. Our forever home in the country. The problem was this 1994 house was original. And it was PINK! I’m not talking a little pink, I mean there was pink EVERYWHERE, The outside of the house was this, not so beautiful, shade of dusty rose, The carpets, the walls, the countertops, the tiles, even the ceilings were pink. But not that cute shade of mauve or coral, the kind of pink you found in your grandmas house, 50 years ago.
So our goal since purchasing this house is to renovate it, top to bottom, making it ours. So join us for our journey, turning an ugly, outdated house into our forever home.
